Context
I joined Redbility at a key moment when the Sewing Design System had just been introduced and was still in the early stages of adoption. The main goal was to demonstrate the value of the system across iOS and web to build trust and secure buy-in from product teams. I contributed to the evolution of the component library, ensured consistency across platforms, and led multiple end-to-end design initiatives. In parallel, I mentored junior designers and organized internal events focused on innovation and training. Through strategic execution and cultural engagement, I helped boost system adoption and strengthen the design culture across the organization.
Cross-platform Design System Adoption
I helped scale the design system across platforms by improving consistency and enabling teams to confidently reuse components in both iOS and web.
Component library: Contributed to building a shared and scalable component library for iOS
Web/mobile alignment: Ensured design consistency across native and web platforms
System validation: Integrated component usage into real product flows to validate and improve the library
Documentation: Improved visibility and understanding of components through guidelines and examples
Evangelization: Communicated clearly to product teams how the design system improved efficiency and UX quality
End-to-end Project Leadership
I led the complete lifecycle of multiple initiatives that depended on system components, from planning and exploration to design execution and delivery.
Project planning: Structured design timelines, requirements, and component dependencies
Research & definition: Conducted early research and requirement mapping to align designs with user and business needs
Design & handoff: Delivered clear specs for dev, integrating system components and proposing enhancements
Mentorship: Managed and supported a team of three designers across projects and skill levels
Stakeholder Alignment & Internal Visibility
Building trust in the system required not just results, but visibility and advocacy. I played a key role in promoting adoption through communication and internal culture-building.
Design community events: Organized and led internal events focused on innovation, training, and cross-team connection
Showcasing impact: Created presentations to communicate DS improvements and results to leadership
Cross-team collaboration: Acted as a point of contact between design and product, facilitating the inclusion of system assets in product roadmaps
System trust: Promoted trust in the system through transparency, clear documentation, and tangible improvements
